On November 12, 2018, Dr. Ralph Baessler from the Federal Institute of Materials Research and Testing (BAM) – Germany gave a special lecture at Department of Physics in Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya – Indonesia with the presentation title of "Penguins in Germany: What this has to do with corrosion?". In conjunction to this event, Prof. Yoji Koike from Tohoku University – Japan also presented a brief lecture on the “Progress on superconductivity”.

This event shows a good partnership between ITS (Indonesia) and BAM (Germany) as well as ITS (Indonesia) and Tohoku University (Japan).
