International Conference on Magnetism and Its Applications (ICMIA) is an extension of a long history of magnetic meeting in Indonesia, namely Seminar Bahan Magnet (SMM) or Magnetic Material Seminar. The last SMM was the 9th meeting held in 2015 in Palembang organized by Indonesian Magnetic Club and hosted by Faculty of Mathematic and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) – Sriwijaya University. The first ICMIA in 2019 was the first international conference organized by IMS and Department of Physics – Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta.

International Conference on Magnetism and Its Applications (ICMIA) 2024 was held on September 5-6, 2024 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The ICMIA 2024 invites all IMS members including the students to participate and share their research related on magnetism and magnetic materials. The conference will facilitate an exchange information to get acquainted and strengthen collaboration among participants. The conference will also be attended by invited speakers who are competence in their fields to present the current leading issue on magnetism and its applications.
